Replacing 12V plug?

How do you replace this? I think mine is worn out since my phone charger doesn’t seem to connect right suddenly. Thanks!

End of the road for Taurus?

So, since Ford has decided to discontinue all cars, which include the Taurus but exclude the Mustang and Focus Active, when will Taurus production wind down? I read the Police Interceptor Sedan will be stopped March 2019. Can we expect the same for the retail Taurus?

1 idle hour = 33 miles (of engine wear). You do the math.

Re: Reusing the police lights? 2015 Interceptor

The lights in the trunk, provided they arent red/blue, can be reused. Red/Red or red/amber should be ok. The rest I dont recommend reusing. You should remove them and you can resell them. Clear lights to the rear, flashing no less, are a "no-no" as they are distracting.

Re: SYNC “battery saver”?

Well since nobody here seems to know about the battery warranty. I called up the local Ford dealer. They said they have to do a Rotunda test on the battery, where they fully charge it and see if it passes or fails for a warranty. The test could take 15-60 mins. So, I guess I know what I am doing on ...

Re: SYNC “battery saver”?

Your battery is probably getting a touch low on charge. You could be right! I took it in today for "The Works" and they tested the battery and its at 638 CCA/850 CCA. Its a Motorcraft battery (BXT-65-850) that was installed on 5-28-16 with 87825 miles on it and it looks like its failing with 113457...

SYNC “battery saver”?

Normally the radio is supposed to stay on after the engine is off for a period of time or until the door is opened. However, lately I get this message (see pic) and the SYNC system turns off after the engine is off. What’s the deal?

Re: Missing options on Sync

Doubt it. The digital speedometer is for the PI Sedan. As far as the TPMS, I hate just getting a light. I wish, among the options, you could see the air pressure per tire as in some other vehicles so you know which tire is the lowest.

I wonder if I should just swap out the purge valve (AU5Z-9C915-B)?
I replaced this, cleared the codes. Lets see if this does the trick.
Yep, think this was it! Not a code since!
