Re: What Are Your Gas Prices?

As of yesterday, gas at the closest town to me was $3.89 for regular. Apparently, Missouri has the cheapest (?) gas in the lower 48 from what I've heard on the news lately. We're going to Memphis in a couple of weeks; gas prices in southern Missouri are usually lower than where I live, so we may fil...

Re: Door Handles

I've had the chrome handle covers on my 06 for over 2 years; no problems with them whatsoever. Been through rain, snow, carwashes and numerous long distance highway trips. I also got the tail light covers and trunk trim. If you want to see pix, just go to my gallery.

Nice pics; I don't mind taking road trips in my Limited at all since it's a very comfortable car to drive/ride in. We've been from the St. Louis, MO area to Chicago, Milwaukee, Columbus, OH, and Lake Cumberland, KY-not all at the same time, of course. Our most recent trip to Chicago got us over 30 m...

I don't know that we got a "screaming" deal on the Five Hundred; the window sticker showed a price of $30,955 and we paid the dealer $27,945. We ordered a Limited with the optional equipment of a moonroof, safety package with the side curtain airbags, traction control, adjustable pedals and the navi...

I don't put stickers on a painted surface such as the bumper; I put them on the rear window. I have several on my car including: Dogs have owners, cats have staff; Mean people produce little mean people; I have no idea where I'm going; and Gone crazy, back soon. By putting stickers on the glass, it ...

03 Taurus SEL

I had an 03 SEL which we custom-ordered from the factory. I ordered all options for it except for the faux wood shift knob and wood insert steering wheel, so it had leather interior, front bucket seats w/center console, moonroof, rear spoiler, 6 disc CD changer, power front seats, side impact air ba...

Love the chrome wheels. I would like to get those on my car. From what I could see in the pictures, the interior really hasn't changed any from the Five Hundred to the Taurus. I do like the new taillights; I got a similar look to my car with the aftermarket tail light covers. That black color really...

I saw my first new Taurus on the highway yesterday while driving back to Missouri from Milwaukee. He was giving my car a real looksee; he may not have been aware that his new Taurus was formerly called Five Hundred. I had an 03 Taurus; and while it was a good car, the Five Hundred is so much better....

I have the after-market stick on piece on my trunk; so far it's been through rain, car washes, and cold weather and still looks fine to me. I got mine off of ebay; I know that there are usually one or more sellers listing it at any given time. Anyone interested in seeing what it looks like can check...

The heat is on!

And I wish it would go off sometime soon. It's hot, it's humid and the air is pretty bad; I have to stay indoors much of the time in the A/C because of having asthma. My yard is fried, and is spite of generous watering, so are most of my flowers. The hummingbirds are doing through sugar water like c...

Five Hundred/Montego seem to be popular

in the greater Milwaukee area. I see several each time I'm out and about; earlier today I saw 2 Five Hundreds within about 2 minutes of each other. Back home in Missouri, I'll see one here or there, but not very often.

I wouldn't be too surprised if the factory piece is also a stick on item just as the aftermarket ones are.

I don't have the part number; but as previously suggested, any Ford dealer should be able to help you out with this.

Nabrum, I knew you were teasing about towing the car; why would I want to tow it instead of driving in comfort in it? I guess you can relate to my not wanting to drive, just as I can relate to your not wanting to fly. When you do either for your job, you don't want to do the same thing for va...

As to the writer's comment the styling of the car might be too conservative for some, there are always after-market items that one can add to the vehicle to "dress" it up. I did that with my 06 Limited and was quite pleased with the results.

Is called the Big Foot Lodge, home of the 4 lb. Sasquatch burger. Yep, a 4 lb. burger-and not made with numerous smaller patties either; it's one single, monstrous pattie served on an equally huge bun. If you and only you manage to eat the entire thing, including fixings in under 60 minutes, it's on...

That's how many Five Hundreds/Montegos I spotted today on my way back home from a trip to Memphis. That is the most I've ever seen in one day's time. Even saw a Merlot Limited which is what I have. We averaged about 26 mpg on the way there and about 27.5 on the way home. Our car was valet-parked at ...
