Re: Problem pulling rear wheel bearing

@twiggy144 BTW, my son just sent me this link for a DIY garage in Mtl Nord: https://www.garage7jours.com/ It would have been really convenient to know about this place before I started working on my car! I drove by there today. The place seems decent, with about 15 lifts for $10 per hour. You can al...

Re: Problem pulling rear wheel bearing

Hi everyone! So a bit of an update. First, I didn't beat the snow! :( However, I was able to work thru it, (not fun!). I tried FordWI suggestion, however, it didn't work. I started by knocking out two studs with a hammer and then cutting them off with an angle grinder, (no space to just slide them o...

2011 Ford Taurus rear suspension overhaul

Hi everyone! I have a 2011 Taurus SEL. While changing a bad rear wheel bearing, I noticed that my rear adjustable lateral arm on both sides have worn out. My Taurus only has 113,000 km/ 70,000 miles on it, but the roads where I live, (Quebec), are absolutely horrible. Plus they use a lot of salt. I ...

Problem pulling rear wheel bearing

Hi everyone! I have a 2011 Taurus SEL that has a bad rear wheel bearing. I'm trying to pull it with a slide style bearing puller, however, the silly thing isn't moving at all. I have sprayed it with penetrating oil, (PB Blaster), and heating it as best as I can with a propane torch, but it won't bud...

HELP! Can't remove control arm bushing! 2011 Taurus

Hi everyone! I'm replacing my lower control arms on my 2011 Taurus SEL and I've encountered a problem with removing the bushings. http://ohsmeg.com/bill/projects/ford/control_arm.jpg I've tried hammering it off and prying it off. Does anyone have any suggestions? I really would like to reuse them as...
