I was lucky and had a Service Contract that is covering it minus a $100 deductible. It is still currently in the shop being repaired. They hope to have it done today or tomorrow.

My car is still being repaired. They just started on it yesterday. Expected to be done by the end of next week. It seems crazy that the Ford Dealership has had my car for almost 2 weeks and won’t provide a loaner. If they wouldn’t have started it, I definitely would have researched to find another F...

I’m sorry to hear that. I must of just gotten lucky. As of today I haven’t heard anything. Hopefully they call tomorrow to say that it’s done.

I have read some of the horror stories, where it fails without any notice and completely takes out the engine with it due the oil and coolant mixing. I’m thankful I had some kind of notice and that that didn’t happen to mine.

I have a 2013 Ford Taurus with the oh so WONDERFUL 3.5. It has 145,000 miles on it. On Saturday I noticed that there was a dime size amount of coolant on the ground underneath it. The mode actuator is located behind the instrument cluster. If you lay on the drivers floor board and look up, you will see the plug that goes into the actuator. I tapped on mine with a long screwdriver to get it to work again.
