Re: Rearview Camera activation using ForScan?

What do you mean by "blue screen until 5+mph forward"?

And do you have the wiring diagram for what pin takes the video input? I've only been able to find the diagram for the aux input pins.

Re: 2013 FPIS factory Whelen hideaway ??

They can be sync'd to match or alternate. And it seems like most of them support 2 flash modes with mode 2 overriding mode 1. So what I'm thinking is having mode 1 be amber flash and then having mode 2 override to white solid for flood lighting Ledoutfitters.com carries them and always seems to have...

Re: 2013 FPIS factory Whelen hideaway ??

Yeah I've seen those but honestly, the Damega are even cheaper cause they go on heavily discounted sale a lot. And they're extremely bright

Re: 2013 FPIS factory Whelen hideaway ??

Honestly, look into the Damega stuff. It's cheap and ridiculously bright for the price. Nothing like the cheap ebay/amazon stuff

Re: Rearview Camera activation using ForScan?

Was this confirmed to work? I've tried using the "decoded" menu to enable it, and nothing worked.

Don't want to mess with the hex values if those values weren't confirmed to work on a 2013 PI

Re: 2013 FPIS factory Whelen hideaway ??

Yeah, who knows. I was only going to be able to reuse the tail light reds and two rear facing reds, so it isn't the biggest issue.

Have my eye on some Damega stuff that's on sale, so I'll probably just do a whole install with that

Re: 2013 FPIS factory Whelen hideaway ??

Yeah, every single FPIS and FPIU had all the hideaways still installed. I've tested 4 modules so far and they all seem dead. So I guess that's it, instead of cutting or removing them, they just get them.

That's a shame since that's like almost $1000 of lights

Re: 2013 FPIS factory Whelen hideaway ??

Update: I removed and disassembled a ION light head and verified that it had power and ground at the circuit board. Which it had. The only slightest sign of life I got was one LED emitting a faint blue light. Other than that, nothing. No light from any of the other LED chips. Really looking like the...

2013 FPIS factory Whelen hideaway ??

Alright. I just bought a 2013 FPIS and it still has all of the Whelen/FoMoCo hideaways and headlight/tail light strobes. Going by Whelen's wiring diagram, black is ground and red/blue (denotes LED color) is positive. However, when I jump power to those wires, absolutely nothing happens. Does anyone ...
