I posted back in July 2016 of this problem. Warment was very helpful in regarding this problem. There is a grommet near the steering linkage on the engine side firewall. A repair shop 10 miles south of me fixed the problem. They replaced a grommet, installed a new 90 degree heater hose, and packed it with some gasket material in a tube. The tech that worked on it said he thought Ford had issued a TSB as some other Ford products had the same problem. Was there a TSB for this? My 2005 500 has 57K, and is now 12 years old. The repair came to $275, and so happy it is fixed. If I hadn't fixed the problem I would have had to replace electrical cables, wires and etc. That would have really cost a lot more.
