My 2008 Taurus. Thought I would share....

Post by RocklandHabitant »

Hey everyone, I've had my Taurus for about a month now. I love everything about it and it's (Believe it or not) definitely an attention getter.

Here are some pics. Not that great, but it will do.

Excellent car!! Now that was worth waiting for.
I saw a Taurus in person today and it is far better than in pictures. A big improvement all around (IMHO).
Now if only the dealer would call to say ours has been scheduled!

Very nice looking car. I saw a Taurus recently in NYC and it really didn't look much different than the 500, just more dressed up.

Didn't look much different? The front end from the windshield forward is new. The rear clip and tail lights are new. That isn't including the new drive train.
There is a lot new, granted much is under the skin.

The black makes the car look very classy.

I can see your point. The difference in exterior looks between the 500 and the '08 Taurus is akin to the difference between "business dress" and a "tuxedo." Similar, but at the same time giving the appearance of being more upscale.

The two things I am not particularly fond of on the Taurus are the fender vents and the front grill. I hope it sells well, though.

Love the chrome wheels. I would like to get those on my car. From what I could see in the pictures, the interior really hasn't changed any from the Five Hundred to the Taurus. I do like the new taillights; I got a similar look to my car with the aftermarket tail light covers.

That black color really looks classy and shows off the chrome wheels. Sweet!

Black always looks classy for about 6 hours after washing.

Very, very nice. You must be very happy with your new Taurus. The Ice Blue is a great color.
Thanks for sharing the photos.

But why'd ya spoil the trunk with the Jesus sticker? I would never put a sticker on the back end of my car, or my boat (see my pics).

I also wish Ford had experimented with some lower side cladding to help the side look a bit less tall.

That's true, but I think his dealer putting on their name under Taurus really ruined it more. At least the Jesus sticker has some kind of viable message...

Agreed. Missed that decal. Just had eye surgery a few days ago. Why would anybunny put decals on paint?

When I was a Yute, all the major tourist attactions used to put a big sign on your car's bumper while you were parked in their lots. The signs were affixed with wire, as I recall. Of course, in those days bumpers were chromed steel. In the '50's, having a few of these bumper signs was a badge of honor and showed that you could afford to take a vacation.
