I love my SHO!

Post by Hindzy » Sun Dec 08, 2013 7:26 pm

Ok Guys... time for some good news. I purchased my 2013 SHO PP this summer and have absolutely loved every moment of it. Hot power, tight controls/handling, and with a new set of Continental Extreme DWS, my SHO grips the road with aggression. The only issue I have, frankly, is every time I'm on the road and a Challenger sees me, he inevitably wants to race! Few weeks back, I even casually took on a SRT (>470hp). He's got us on the HP & torque curve, but man I was right on his tail. But, in the end he's only got rear-wheel drive.

Which brings me to my question for us happy SHO PP owners... has anyone actually timed themselves on 0-60, flat out? Casually (while looking for cops) I've done it... & I swear I'm under 5 seconds.

Let me know (btw... I run nothing but Shell max octane - despite what the owners manual says, not all fuel is the same)... with hard running, I still avg 22.5 mpg !!!!!

I raced a charger and all he saw was my rear lights. I took him off the line at the track. But to his defense guess he needed better tires. But your about correct on times. I put a cold air intake o. The car and some michelin a s 3 and love it.

Cold air intake... yes, I've been reading about these, but my Ford mechanic tells me anything other than a catback will void the warranty?

Technically I think even the catback exhaust can void your warranty. Ford is more picky about warranty coverage when modding the EcoBoost engines.

See TSB 10-2-6. It specifies 2010 model vehicles but it may have been updated since to include all EB engine vehicles, it's worth a read: http://www.fordservicecontent.com/Ford_ ... -02-06.htm
2000 Ford Taurus SEL (excellent car, sold to a friend)
1992 Mercury Sable GS (good car except for the tranny, sold)
