Throttle body question

Post by floyd » Tue Dec 26, 2017 3:32 am

Hi everyone, folks, I was wondering, if it is a good idea to replace an OE throttle body with an aftermarket one? Because I cannot drive my Taurus because of the clogged throttle body, which finally failed. I assume it failed because of the chinese cold air intake that I had for some time. Anyways, the OE throttle body is $1.200, and an aftermarket is around $100. So I thought, maybe I should give it a try? Does anyone know anything about the non-OE throttle bodies? Do they work okay?

Yea, I did, and after that it broke... My bad, yet now seems I have to try a non-OE one, at least it's cheaper. Here's what I am ordering and I will let ya folks know, how it goes if you want.
By the way, I can do the install photos.
