I really want to do a restoration on a 1986 Ford Taurus LX Wagon. This car has a great place in automotive history and I've always wanted to own one of these cars. These cars are getting really hard to find nowadays. Though I've found quite a few G1 Taurus's on craigslist over the past few months.

I'm looking for a 1986 LX Wagon fully optioned with keyless entry, electronic climate control, and the digital gauges.

The color I want it in is called Medium Canyon Red. I would also like one with a gray interior. Here is a few examples on what that red color should look like:

if anybody ever comes across something like this let me know immediately!

One more thing. I want the car to have the front split bench seats for seating 6.

Wow I found the perfect 86 LX wagon last Febuary. It had less than 100,000 miles on it, Medium grey interior that looked practically brand new, and the very rare instaclear windshield option to boot. Of course my dad wouldn't let me buy the car and it finally got sold last month. Now I have to start my search over. I'm really frustrated now since these are hard to find.

Here are some picture of what the car looked like that I COULD HAVE SAVED and restored had my dad not been so stubborn:
