I bought my scanner on Amazon, so you can return if it doesn't workPI_1247 wrote: ↑Mon Jul 16, 2018 12:32 amIs it possible for a 2013 PI Sedan to not have a PATS system, or do they all come with it. Cause my dealer activated the auto start in my first 2013 3 yrs ago with no problems, and now I have a different 2013 because some fast driving a-hole t boned me. The first one was a Minneapolis police car and the one I have now is a state trooper car. My first one didn't have a backup camera, and my new one does. My dealer says when he tries to go into the PATS system, it just kicks him back to the previous page in his scan tool as if it doesnt have one. So is it some security protocol that is doing this to him, or is it possible I can't do auto start because I dont have PATS? Sorry for the novel, and any info is appreciated, as I am planning to buy a scanner and download Forscan, but it would be a waste if I can't use it to activate auto start and keyless entry. Thank you!

Re: PI Sedan/SUV keyless entry with remote start retrofit
I found an ELM327 scanner that is USB instead of bluetooth. Would this work the same, as my laptop doesnt have bluetooth. I could borrow a laptop if not, but would rather not of I dont have to. Thanks.
Re: PI Sedan/SUV keyless entry with remote start retrofit
So does the 2018 PI Utility not have the IPC module? I don’t see 720-01-03 to change. Would like to add keyless.

Re: PI Sedan/SUV keyless entry with remote start retrofit
These are the exact results I got in my '16 as well.Sterling_Ceptor wrote: ↑Mon Jun 25, 2018 10:29 pmI'll add a few notes to this as I tried them on my 2016 PI today:jzkintaku wrote: ↑Sun May 20, 2018 2:38 pm
02 Auto High Beam
03 Autolamp Delay
05 Easy Entry
06 Remote Windows
09 Auto Lock
10 Auto Unlock
13 Rain Sense Wipers
All confirmed on setting screen. But turning on the setting manual does not mean the function will work. Auto High Beam, Autolamp Delay and Rain Sense Wipers does not working cus I dont have real module for them. Auto Lock and unlock works but have to set them every time after start the car.
Btw, I also tried IDS, auto Lock and unlock still does not work correctly.
---Easy Entry/Exit - will show in the console but is grayed out. I think you need memory seats?
---Remote Windows - got it to show up, but the feature doesn't work for me. I'm using IKTs though, with the remote start button. Some initial research says you need the rectangular ones, but I didnt look into any further.
---Same behavior experienced with auto unlock and lock not working unless you unset/set them per driving session. HOWEVER - I've observed that I can shut my car off/on and it'll work if I stay in the car. But, if I get out of the car before starting it up again, then that's where it seems to loose the setting. I'm wondering if there's some "memory" that's missing in the PI, or we need other bits enabled for it to be able to properly store that setting. Heck, I had to disable and reenable it from the console menu even though it was selected when first enabled.

Re: PI Sedan/SUV keyless entry with remote start retrofit
i believe 2016+ actually requires IDS to enable, anyone else confirm this?
DON'T buy from paid PI mod sites, stay away from dealer programming! message me for help or questions.

Anyone have info on keyless entry for a 2017 Taurus PI? Looked through the thread and didn’t see anything

I found the remote start keys for 2/3 what the EBay sellers want, on Amazon, and it's a set of 2.

Re: PI Sedan/SUV keyless entry with remote start retrofit
Mine came in pretty good and solid. My problem was, no one wanted to cut them, as I did not buy from them. Then today, I was in Pep-Boys buying oil, when I spy a key machine. I ask the guy ringing me up if he'd cut them, and he said yes! When all was done and he made sure the keys worked, he charged me $0!!!

Re: PI Sedan/SUV keyless entry with remote start retrofit
So I did the thing with forscan, only I did the 2 module changes for remote start and keyless entry on my 2013.
No matter how hard I try, I cannot get the car to enter programming mode using either the method in this post nor the one in the owner's manual, which are essentially the same.
Anyone have any ideas? I confirmed the changes in my car with forscan before posting this.

Re: PI Sedan/SUV keyless entry with remote start retrofit
I was able to add remote start and entry which is great. Previous owners of the PI didn't use it, so the key holes are scratched pretty well. According to what I found, my 2014 was built some time in 2013, so I used those settings for early 2014. Everything works but the trunk button. Do I need to enable something else to have the trunk button work on the fob?
Former cars: 1977 Plymouth Gran Fury, 1981 Dodge Diplomat, 1986 Chevy Caprice, 1990 Chevy Caprice. Current: 2014 Police Interceptor, 3.5l twin turbo, AWD.

I'm wondering is it possible to replace the scratched as hell handles easily.PFFCO wrote: ↑Mon Dec 10, 2018 6:17 pmI was able to add remote start and entry which is great. What key did you buy? I got one off amazon mentioned here and the trunk works fine for me!

Re: PI Sedan/SUV keyless entry with remote start retrofit
I got mine off of Ebay, the one mentioned on page 1.
It does work differently that the key suggests though. To remote start, I only need to press the button 1 time, not 2. And for the trunk, it is 3 times, not 2 as shown on the key.

Re: PI Sedan/SUV keyless entry with remote start retrofit
Hi Guys,
I went to a local dealer to see about getting keyless entree and remote start enabled on my 2016 PI sedan. They told me ford does not have an option for my car and I would have to go aftermarket. When I opened the hood for myself I found that the hook switch is there but the harness for it is missing. Has anyone else encountered this? any thoughts?
Thanks,
Nathan

Re: PI Sedan/SUV keyless entry with remote start retrofit
I took my 2013 fpis to a shop where they do remote starts. They installed an alarm, remote start and a key fob with the unlock, lock, remote start and, panic on the key. The remote start was from viper and I am loving it
