Automatic Climate Control?
Has anyone tried to install a center bezel with automatic climate control? I bought some seats with heat, but the only center bezel I can find with seat heater controls also have auto climate control. I would love to have auto climate control, as well, but I'm sure it's not as easy as swapping that panel out.
Are additional sensors needed? If it's a programming change, that's no problem, as I have a ForScan.
Any thoughts?

Re: Automatic Climate Control?
I have not seen anyone do this - I just added switches to run the heating element in the seats.

What type of switches? The factory ones, or something aftermarket? I would love to get the seats working.

Re: Automatic Climate Control?
So the answer, for anyone looking to do this...
Go to the junkyard and find the panel with the heater controls. Not only is it plug and play for the heated seats, it's also plug and play for fully automatic HVAC!!! As soon as I connected it, the temps came up on the screen and the auto control worked perfectly. Plus, using that panel closed the gap I had between the center console and the panel. Couldn't be happier!

What did you do with the temp/humidity sensor? I'm curious for my own project. Can you just hide it underneath the console and have it not freak out?shreksbrother wrote: ↑Fri Apr 19, 2019 12:32 pmSo the answer, for anyone looking to do this...

That's exactly what I did. Everything seemed to work fine despite hiding it behind the panel.transportsaxon wrote: ↑Tue Jun 04, 2019 1:54 pmWhat did you do with the temp/humidity sensor? I'm curious for my own project. Can you just hide it underneath the console and have it not freak out?

One last question, did you do anything with the tray that goes over the top of the radio panel to make it fit? The top of the civilian Taurus control panel is notched differently, I'm not sure if it makes a significant difference.
I'm just waiting for all console parts to show up before pulling the trigger at this point.

Re: Automatic Climate Control?
I reused my police tray... It bolts down. As unsightly as it looks, it was clear the civilian one was different. But it fits fine and looks like it did before I replaced the panel.
Re: Automatic Climate Control?
I disassembled and swapped the parts to use the original panel. I don't have or want a console. It took a while to figure out how to get all the parts out. I could do it in a few minutes now. 6 parts need to be changed out. The 2 control knob assemblies, the Auto button and fan speed buttons and the main circuit board.
