great, that's the point, stay away from pay mod sites and dealers!

Hi guys,

Does anyone know how to install the hood switch harness for remote start? My 2016 didn't come with one installed but it does have the hood switch just not the harness.

Thanks.

I have a 2019 PI Sedan. I have been told that several other newer 18+ Sedans have had issues getting the remote entry and remote start to enable. I have not attempted it and have a well versed tech doing it that had done dozens of earlier years. Does anybody know if there is something different from the older versus newer? Thanks.

and a bluetooth enabled laptop.
Can a USB scan tool like https://www.amazon.com/Forscan-Scanner- ... 8938&psc=1 be used? My laptop doesn't have BT.

Thanks. Also see this once at twice the cost. Doesn't have that switch so I assume it automatically detects which one?

remote start 2013-2016 Sedan Interceptor

726-19-01 - Change to --- 0148
720-01-03 - Change to --- 8088 00C8 33

On my 16 sedan,

726-19-01 was already 0148

720-01-03 - I changed to --- 8088 00C8 33 but got warning messages that I clicked through so that
it self corrected to 8088 00C8 FB Remote start WORKS!

I thought the car DIDN'T have remote entry enabled but found it was when I saw the codes in the module matched the codes provided here for enabling it. Just tried to program a 5 button Ebay key for just the remote function and it worked fine.

And if it isn't obvious, if you have remote keyless entry working, remote start will work after you reprogram the module for that. Don't have to program the same key again.

Mine didnt have the switch or the harness, so I am in the same boat on my 2014. Got keyless and trunk to work just no idea what to do on remote start.

Just an update on my issue. A dealer that I took it to actually did find the harness. It was just tucked away pretty far back. However, Eventually I ended up having an aftermarket keyless entry, security, and remote start installed from Compustar. In my opinion it works so much better than the oem one.
