New here, from TCCA

Post by billzie » Thu Sep 28, 2017 9:09 am

Howdy,
I just found this site researching my 08 Taurus X AWD transmissions problems, I've only had it a month and I'm feeling more and more like the seller dumped it on me and now I've got a lemon with a loan on it. Seems like the transmissions are an extremely common issue for these cars, there has to be some better info and repairs out there that a DIYer can do.
I've been a long time member at TCCA but the site has changed and their focus seems to be on 1-4 gens which is what I went there for years ago for my 02 Sable.
Anyway, I try to do as much if not all of my own repairs, I can do just about anything with good instructions and proper tools.
Hopefully I find more answers here,
Bill.
